Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction with ED Pumps
Many men have heard of ED pumps or penis pumps, but many have not used them. ED pumps or penis pumps are commonly suggested by physicians for impotence or erectile dysfunction. ED pumps or penis pumps are less expensive overall than any medication or other treatment for erectile dysfunction or impotence. Impotence or erectile dysfunction is more common than many men think. Up to 1 in 8 men under the age of 50 and 1 in 8 men over 50 have impotence at some point. It is considered normal for men of any age to have symptoms of impotence up to 20% of the time, but any symptoms at all should be brought up to your doctor.
Impotence is considered the inability to get or keep an erection for a period of time. The inability to properly ejaculate is also considered a complication from impotence. If you experience these problems, it is best to talk to a physician to find out the underlying causes. The most common underlying problems include smoking, alcohol use, lack of exercise and proper diet, stress, heart conditions, atherosclerosis, diabetes, prostate issues and uncontrolled blood pressure issues.
Treatments for impotence include medications such as Viagra, although there are side effects with medication and some men cannot take these medications due to prior medical conditions. Therefore the safest and least expensive means of treatment is still pumps. Pumps are made of a tube, restriction rings and a pump. The penis is inserted into the rings and then the tube, and the pump is used to remove air from the tube. This causes the blood to be allowed into the penis and held there for an erection to take place. Pumps can be used directly before the sexual encounter or even during sexual experiences as there are no side effects and the effects are immediate.
